ON THE EFFICIENCY AND POWER FARTOR OF THE CRUCIBLE INDUCTION FURNANCES

Rezumat: Calculul cuptoarelor de inductie cu creuzet utilizeaza relatii complexe. Scopul principal al lucrarii este de a trece relatiile de proiectare binecunoscute in expresii cu marimi raportate, obtinand astfel un grad ridicat de generalitate. Se evidentiaza dependenta acestora de diametrul raportat atunci cand sunt cunoscute capacitatea si destinatia cuptorului. Constantele de material si factorii de zveltete sunt elemente care influenteaza rezistentele, reactantele si functiile de corectie ale acestora. Relatiile de calcul detaliate permit o mai usoara utilizare precum si deducerea unor concluzii de ordin calitativ privind randamentul electric si factorul de putere al acestui tip cuptoare.

Abstract: The calculation of the crucible induction furnaces uses complex equations. The main purpose of the paper is to transform these well-known designing equations in expressions based on per unit variables (ratio parameters), obtaining a higher generality degree. One emphasizes their dependence on the ratio diameter, when the furnace capacity and destination are known. The material proprieties and slenderness factors influence the resistances, the reactances and their correction functions. The proposed detailed calculation equations allow an easier utilization and getting of some qualitative conclusions on the electric efficiency and power factor of this kind of furnaces
