Rezumat: Această lucrare propune regândirea sistemului educaţional actual ţinând cont de o nouă abordare: STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts and Mathematics) . Integrarea STEAM în noul sistem se va baza pe: o abordare de tip holistic, îmbunătaţire curricula și introducerea de noi tehnologii, tehnici și metode referitoare la procesele de predare, învăţare, evaluare etc. Obiectivul principal va fi creșterea inovării și a creativităţii în societatea cunoașterii. În final, prezint câteva propuneri pentru adaptarea sistemului educaţional românesc la aceste noi tendinţe

Abstract: This paper proposes to rethink the current educational system considering a new approach: STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts and Mathematics). Integration of STEAM in the new educational system will be based on: a holistic approach, improve curricula and introducing new technologies, techniques and methods relating to the processes of learning, teaching, and assessment. The main objective will be to increase innovation and creativity in the knowledge society. Finally, make some proposals for adapting the Romanian educational system to these new trends
