CERCETĂRI APLICATIVE PENTRU PRODUCEREA DE BIOGAZ ŞI ECOFERTILIZANŢI DIN DEŞEURI AGROZOOTEHNICE

Autor/autori: Dr. ing. Carmen MATEESCU

Abstract: The organic waste generated in agriculture activities, such as crop residuals and animal waste but also waste and waste water generated in the food and alcohol industry, represent a valuable resource to produce biogas and ecological fertilizers. By recovery of this resource to be used in biogas plants, important benefits both for the energy and environment sectors can be achieved. Furthermore, increasing the competitiveness of agricultural products, as well as increasing income and standard of population can be reached. This paper presents a simple but effective solution for the energy recovery of biodegradable waste generated in agriculture farms and rural households to biogas units having the digester capacity of 4 to16 m3. There have been highlighted the main economical, energetic, social and environment advantages which this technology can offer, as well as the innovative elements that contribute to an advanced decomposition of organic material and consequently an increased biogas production. Since the quality of raw materials is essential for the quality and volume of biogas, this paper points out some theoretical and experimental aspects related to the biogas potential of agriculture waste. Moreover, there are highlighted the advantages of using fermented residuals as a soil fertilizer, due to its rich content in basic nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. The assessment of opportunity for development of biogas systems in agricultural regions, as well as analysis of several indicators referred to property type and farm size for implementation of successful project are other important issues addressed in this paper
