STUDII CU PRIVIRE LA CRESTEREA ATRACTIVITATII TRANSPORTULUI FEROVIAR DE CALATORI. CAZUL JUDETULUI OLT

Rezumat: Politicile Uniunii Europene in domeniul transporturilor promoveaza mobilitatea durabila, sporirea eficientei energetice, multimodalitatea transporturilor, in scopul dezvoltarii locale si regionale. Totodata, se urmareste incurajarea utilizarii transportului public in defavoarea celui individual, prin asigurarea echilibrului intre cererea si oferta de transport. In cadrul acestei lucrari, pentru estimarea cererii de transport in judetul Olt a fost aplicat modelul in patru etape (generarea calatoriilor, distributia acestora, alegerea modala si afectarea calatoriilor), cu ajutorul unui software specializat in modelarea transporturilor. Validarea modelului a fost realizata utilizand date obtinute din contorizarea calatorilor in anumite sectiuni ale retelelor de transport si din inregistrari ale timpilor de parcurs pentru diferite perechi de zone origine / destinatie localizate in arealul de studiu. In urma simularilor s-a constatat ca acolo unde retelele de transport rutier si feroviar se suprapun, este preferat modul rutier si au fost propuse solutii de crestere a atractivitatii transportului feroviar.

Abstract: The policies of European Union in transport fields promote sustainable mobility, energy efficiency, multimodal transport, aiming the local and regional development. Also, it is encouraged public transport use against the individual transport by ensuring the balance between supply and demand of transport. In this paper for estimate the transport demand in Olt County is applied the four steps model (trip generation, trip distribution,modal choice and trip assignment), accomplished with a computer software specialized in transport modelling. Model validation was performed using data obtained by passengers counting in some points of transport networks and recorded data of the journey times for different pairs of origin / destination areas located in the studied area. Following the simulations, it was found that where road and rail public transport networks overlap,road is the preferred mode and solutions have been proposed in order to increase the atractivity of rail transport
