Rezumat: Teoreticienii muzicii, dar și profesorii de canto par să fie de acord că secolul al XVIII-lea a fost caracterizat de folosirea extraordinară a vocii, care a pornit de la cele mai simple forme ale artei vocale și de cânt amatoricesc. Însă secolul al XVIII-lea aduce cu el și o aprofundare teoretică, știinţifică, în arta cântului. Pentru cunoașterea tradiţiilor și caracteristicilor istorice ale artei interpretative vocale, autorii manualelor de cânt sunt foarte importanţi, deoarece în cărţile lor se reflectă literatura curentă despre predare

Abstract: Musical theorists along with singing teachers have agreed that the 18th century can be characterized by the extraordinary use of the singing voice, wich began from the simplest forms of arts of vocalism and amateur singing.On the other hand the 18th century comes with a greater theoretical understanding in the art of singing. A great role in the studying of the traditions and historical caracteristics of the vocal interpretation art, have the authors of the manuals in the art of singing, becausethey reflect, through their work, the curent literature about teaching
