Abstract: In music, symmetry is an essential element of the construction of the sound discourse. Occurring at all levels, from the melodic-rhythmic cell up to the architecture of the whole musical piece, symmetry has been highlighted by the greatest thinkers (musicians, mathematicians, philosophers) since ancient times and it can be found in various forms in all musical compositions
