Abstract: Fossil fuels (oil, coal, gas) consumed in a rapidly paced so you have to accelerate the discovery and exploitation of renewable energies. However, the capture of solar energy hitting the high costs of deployment and low efficiency, and for capturing wind energy it takes special conditions. To become effective, the various facilities for recovery for labour-mechanical energy wave must be installed in areas with sufficient impact of currents. Ocean waters hold a huge energy potential that can be harnessed for energy production. The main energy sources taken into account, at least at the level of the current technique, refer to: tides, sea currents, waves, temperature differences in the structure of marine water. Ocean waves carry massive amounts of energy, but that energy is generally hard to operate efficiently and inexpensively. Wave energy is without limit, being a wellspring is inexhaustible and like the ocean. In areas with the waves all year round or on the high seas and oceans, wave energy is a renewable form of energy with very high potential. Although the potential energy and wave power are expensive yet exploitable, some firms are starting to make serious investments, waiting for the moment when the electricity generated by the waves will be operating at the industrial level. It presents various facilities for recovery for the purpose of mechanical energy of the wave: the inclined plane and plant basin; installation with heavy liquid piston deck; floating plant and taps on the valve column; piston-driven system of waves, etc., with their advantages and disadvantages

Keywords: renewable energies, potential energy and wave power, equipment intended for energy recovery of the mechanical strength of the waves, installation with sloping basin plan, installation with pontoon hard and liquid piston, the floating plant and taps on the valve, gas piston operated waves etc
