ÎNCEPUTURILE ELECTRIFICĂRII LA MEDIAȘ

Rezumat: Industrializarea ȋn orașul Mediaș a fost stimulată de descoperirea gazului metan la Sărmășel ȋn 1909 și apoi ȋn zona Bazna. Valorificat rapid ca forță motrice și combustibil, gazul metan a stimulat transformarea rapidă a atelierelor meșteșugărești ȋn întreprinderi industriale, astfel că Mediașul devine un important centru pentru fabricarea sticlei, de articole ceramice, articole metalice și o serie de produse ale industriei ușoare. Lucrarea tratează ȋnceputurile introducerii și utilizării energiei electrice la Mediaș, primele centrale electrice și condițiile ȋn care s-a realizat rețeaua de transport și distribuție ȋn zona Mediaș – Sibiu, subliniind efectul proiectelor realizate care a impulsionat dezvoltarea socio-economică a Transilvaniei și a sistemului energetic național.

Abstract: Industrialization in the city of Mediaș was stimulated by the discovery of methane gas in Sărmășel in 1909, and then in the Bazna area. Quickly used as a motrice force and fuel, methane gas has stimulated the rapid transformation of workshops into industrial companies, so that Mediaș becomes an important center for the manufacture of glass, ceramic articles, metal articles and a big number of light industry products. The paper deals with the beginnings of the introduction and use of electricity in Mediaș, the first power plants and the conditions in which the transmission and distribution network was built in the Medias - Sibiu area, emphasizing the effect of these projects that boosted the socio-economic development of Transylvania and the national energy system.
