A STUDY OF DISCONECTING DC CIRCUIT BREAKERS WITH IGBT STATIC CONTACTORS

Rezumat: Problema comutatiei, la intreruptoarele de tensiune continua se refera la aparate electrice de comutatie si se manifesta diferit in curent continuu, fata de curentul alternativ. La deconectare, comutatia este insotita de obicei de amorsarea, arderea si stingerea arcului electric, iar intreruperea unui circuit de tensiune continua se realizeaza prin metoda generarii tensiunii inverse, oscilatiei curentului divergent si injectarii curentului invers. Lucrarea de fata prezinta o varianta de contactor cu IGBT-uri utilizat la deconectarea prin injectie de curent invers a intreruptoarelor de tensiune continua.

Abstract: The DC circuit breakers switching problem refers to electrical switching devices and applies differently in DC as in AC. The switching is usually accompanied by the ignition, the burning and the extinction of the electric arc as well in the connection but especially in the disconnection. The breaking of the DC circuit is achieved using the inverse voltage generation method, the divergent current oscilation method and the inverse current injection method. This paper presents a contact with IGBT transistors, used to disconnect the DC circuit breakers applying the injection of inverse current.
