Rezumat
În lucrarea de faţă este prezentat un studiu privind circulaţia aerului în camerele de expansiune din metrou şi influenţa geometriei camerei asupra pistonului de aer produs de mişcarea trenurilor prin galeriile metroului. Lucrarea prezintă rezultatele modelărilor şi simulărilor 3D în CFD, a unei camere de expansiune normală şi a unei camere de expansiune modificată. Rezultatele simulărilor prezentate în acest articol surprind modul în care pistonul de aer este influenţat de schimbarea caracteristicilor camerei de expansiune. Simulările CFD surprind fenomenele complexe care au loc în camerele de expansiune privind viteza, presiunea şi schimbările de direcţie ale aerului precum şi devierea parţială a pistonului de aer înainte de a pătrunde în staţia de metrou.

Abstract
This paper presents a study on air circulation in the expansion chamber in the subway stations and the influence of the geometry of the rom on the air piston produced by the movement of trains through the subway galleries. The paper presents the results of 3D models and simulation in CFD of a normal expansion chamber and a modified expansion chamber. The results of the simulation presented in this article capture the way in which the air piston is influenced by the change of the characteristics of the expansion chamber. CFD simulation capture the complex phenomena that occur in the expansion chamber regarding the pressure, velocity and the changes of the direction of the air as well the partial deflection of the air piston before entering the subway station
