Abstract
The urban systems, being or not institutionally based are result of the human activities, more under the determinations lead by the geographical configuration, position with other human concentrations, relationships with the great commercial roads but as well to the particular historical evolutions. The mobility expressed at different spatial scales is a general result of the population, the intensity and diversity of activities, but mainly depends on the spatial and territorial morphology of the built structures, especially the type, density and quality of the communications and transport systems networks. A general comparison of two Romanian Urban systems, Braşov and Brăila-Galaţi underlines these reasons. The functional and structural similarities and distinctions, different demographic evolutions, specific territorial context explain in a great measure the amplitude of the mobility in both territories and can suggest different solutions for spatial development, where the mobility is seen not only as a result but mainly as a stimulating element of the urban form structure.
