Rezumat
Lucrarea are în vedere o analiză a evoluției sistemelor de alimentare cu apă potabilă. Motivarea acestei lucrări este dată de faptul că apa este una din resursele esențiale pentru societatea umană, iar cunoașterea evoluției conceptului de apă potabilă și a sistemelor de alimentare cu apă aduce beneficii pentru cercetătorii și inginerii din domeniu, pentru politicieni și pentru ansamblul societății civile. Încă din epoca bronzului, omenirea a încercat găsirea de modalități pentru a captarea, transportul, stocarea și distribuii apa în principalele zone urbane Datorită creșterii populației din ultimele decenii și a dezvoltării rapide a zonelor urbane, apa devine o resursă indispensabilă

Abstract
The paper considers an analysis of the evolution of urban water system. The motivation for this work is given by the fact that water is one of the essential resources for human society, and knowledge of the evolution of the concept of drinking water and water supply systems benefits researchers and engineers, politicians and civil society as a whole. Since the Bronze Age, mankind has tried to find ways to capture, transport, store and distribute water in major urban areas. Due to population growth in recent decades and the rapid development of urban areas, water is becoming an indispensable resource.
