INDUCTANCE COMPUTATION AND LAYOUT OPTIMIZATION FOR SPIRAL INDUCTOR

Rezumat: Calculul inductivitatii si optimizarea configuratiei bobinelor spirala reprezinta inca subiecte de cercetare de actualitate si de mare interes in special in circuitele integrate de radio frecventa. In acest scop autorii au creat si implementat un pachet software dedicat calculul inductivitatii bobinelor spirala si optimizarii configuratiei acestora. Programul a fost creat pentru utilizarea in proiectarea si verificarea bobinelor spirala, permitand atat calculul inductivitatii acestora cu precizie ridicata cat si optimizarea configuratiei lor in functie limitele tehnologice si/sau de nevoile utilizatorului.

Abstract: Spiral inductors inductance computation and layout optimization still are research topics of actuality and great interest, especially in radio frequency integrated circuits. In this effect the authors create and design a software program dedicate to compute the spiral inductors inductances and to optimize theirs layouts. The program was created to be used in design and design verification of spiral inductors, allowing the inductance computation with very good accuracy and also the optimization of theirs layout in terms of technological limitations and/or in terms of the users’ needs.
