TEHNOLOGII DE UTILIZARE SI STOCARE A DIOXIDULUI DE CARBON. CONCEPTUL CCUS

Rezumat: In contextul preocuparilor privind evolutia emisiilor de gaze cu efect de sera (GES), in general, si a CO2, in particular, sub presiunea de limitare a acestora, se impune valorificarea posibilitatii sectorului industrial, principalul poluator, de a-si reduce propriile emisii. Utilizarea si valorificarea CO2 reprezinta o alternativa complementara stocarii geologice, care desi nu are potentialul de a reduce semnificativ cantitatea de CO2, poate furniza venituri pentru dezvoltarea pe termen scurt a proiectelor CCS. Prin conjugarea intereselor factorilor implicati – industriile generatoare de emisii de CO2, respectiv utilizatorii de CO2 ca materie prima in procesele tehnologice se poate asigura tranzitia intr-un mod economic viabil catre o economie decarbonizata.

Abstract: In the context of concerns about the increase of greenhouse gas emissions (GHG), in general, and of CO2 in particular, under the pressure to limit them, a focus on the industrial sector recovery potential is required, because the main polluter needs to reduce its own emissions. The use of CO2 is a complementary alternative to geological storage, which although has not the potential to significantly reduce the amount of CO2 can provide income for short-term development of CCS projects. Uniting the interests of involved factors - CO2 emitting industries, as well as those who use CO2 as a raw material in the technological processes – can ensure the transition to a sustainable economy to decarbonise the economy
