ELECTRICAL VEHICLE HISTORY AND NEW CHALLENGES

Rezumat: Vehiculele acționatecu motoare electrice au câștigatteren înfațavehiculelor acționatecu motoare cu ardere internădatoritărandamentului lor mareșidatorităfaptului cănu emanănoxe pe perioadade circulațiea acestora. Deșitehnologia fabricăriielectrovehiculelor este consideratăcao nouătehnologie, totușiaceastaare o istorie veche de aproape 200 ani. Înaceastălucrare se face o trecere înrevistăa principalelor etape de dezvoltare a tehnologiei vehiculelor electrice,cu exemplificarea principalelor inovărișiinvențiiale dezvoltăriimotoarelor electrice pentru propulsia vehiculelor șia bateriilor electrice casurse de stocare șialimentare cu energie electrică. Suntaduse îndiscuțieșiproblemele actuale legate de electrovehicule, precum asigurarea sustenabilitatii acestui mijloc de transport de lafabricare șipânălareciclare șinecesitatea accelerăriitranzițieienergetice întransport.

Abstract: Vehicles powered by electric motors have gained advantage in front of vehicles powered by internal combustion engines due to their high efficiency and due to the fact that they do not emit noxious substances during circulation. Although the technology of manufacturing electric vehicles is considered new, this technology has a history of almost 200 years. This article reviews the main stages of development of electric vehicle technology, with examples of the main innovations and inventions in the development of electric motors for vehicle propulsion and electric batteries as sources of energy storage and power supply. Current issues related to electric vehicles are also discussed, such as ensuring the sustainability of this means of transport and the need to accelerate the energy transition in transport
