MANUFACTURING AND REPAIR TECHNOLOGIES FOR A DRIVE SHAFT

Rezumat: The present paper describes the technological process for manufacturing a drive shaft made of 42CrMo4 alloy steel. It includes the stages of blank selection, determination of the production type, surface numbering and characterization, calculation of machining allowances, selection of machine tools and cutting tools, as well as the technical standardization of t he process. The aim of the project is to demonstrate the correct application of manufacturing technology principles for machining operations, with an emphasis on achieving a final product that meets the requirements of dimensional accuracy, mechanical stre ngth, and operational reliability.
