Abstract: The paper briefly describes the design and implementation of a prototype of an autonomous robotic system, intended for mapping post-conflict areas and identifying abandoned military components. The current context, characterized by extensive contamination with unexploded ordnance, requires the development of accessible and modular solutions, capable of reducing human personnel exposure to risks. The proposed prototype integrated open source technologies and low-cost commercial components, partially validating the operating principles of such a system. The platform includes a modular robotic arm, autonomous navigation sensors, inductive metal detection elements, as well as basic communication capabilities through standardized protocols. The functionality obtained in the implementation phase reflects an incipient technological level, with numerous limitations specific to the prototyping stages, including high sensitivity to electromagnetic disturbances, high tolerances to detection parameters and low accuracy in real-world conditions of use.
