Abstract

In the context of the transition from MDD (Medical Devices Directive) to MDR (Medical Device Regulation), the authors aim to investigate the degree of implementation of management software systems of medical devices (MD), as well as to identify the main needs of medical units, located on the Romania territory. The first part of the paper introduces the research context, respectively the impact of the new regulations in the field of MD on the economic environment. The second part of the paper presents the results of qualitative research conducted on a sample, n = 280, of medical units. The third part presents the proposed technical solution, respectively the block diagram of a modular DM management software and the final conclusions of this research.
