Rezumat
Disponibilitatea manifestată în spațiul academic brașovean privind educația în designul industrial a fost motivată de dezvoltarea spectaculoasă a domeniului pe plan mondial care a fost însoțită de recunoașterea importanței efectelor benefice unice ale implementării instrumentelor și filosofiei de design în orice societate avansată tehnic, tehnologic și cultural. Deși designul este recunoscut a fi un domeniu dinamic aflat într-o evoluție continuă și spectaculoasă de peste 200 de ani, în țara noastră a fost mult timp aproape ignorat, privit ca un fenomen neprioritar și aproape periferic. Această realitate trebuie înțeleasă pentru a o corecta printr-o abordare corectă.

Abstract
The availability shown in the academic space of Brașov regarding the education in industrial design was motivated by the spectacular development of the field worldwide which was accompanied by the recognition of the importance of the unique beneficial effects of the implementation of design tools and philosophy in any technically, technologically and culturally advanced society. Although design is recognized as a dynamic field in a continuous and spectacular evolution for over 200 years, in our country it has been almost ignored for a long time, regarded as a non-priority and almost peripheral phenomenon. This reality must be understood in order to correct it through a correct approach.
